Wrocław & Bolesławiec
What to do in Wrocław and Bolesławiec?
Wrocław (pronounced like “Vrotswav”, or Breslau in German) is home to one of the most colorful town squares in Europe. It is also filled with hidden elf sculptures throughout the city, which makes it a very popular family vacation spot.
Nearby is Bolesławiec, the home of Polish pottery, the classic hand-painted cobalt designs that have become widely popular across the world.
And in between, be sure to stop by Ksiaż Castle, one of Poland’s best castles. In addition to it’s beauty and architecture, it has the interesting history of housing a German bunker from WWII.

Come to Wrocław and Bolesławiec if you’d like just a few more days in Poland to see some quaint colorful towns filled with local people.
Both of these towns are the smallest ones on our recommendations list because you can see them both in just a few days. But they’re both unique and have the fewest international tourists - but there’s still plenty of Polish tourists here. So you’ll get the most uninhibitedly Polish experience.
These are fun cities to bop around in, enjoy the sites, the small museums, the pottery, and relax.
